- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Washington DC (FISCNORDETWASH) intends to award a competitive commercial item procurement for the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL. The contractor shall provide services for the Bachelor Housing on base. The anticipated type of contract is a firm fixed price and the estimated period of performance is one year with four option years. The award will be based on the technical acceptability, past performance and price. The contractor shall provide the rental and maintenance of Type I, Class 4, 16 to 18 pound capacity (dry weight), top loading, heavy and continuous duty, commercial grade, automatic self-service laundry type clothes washers. The contractor shall provide the rental and maintenance of clothes dryers that shall be Type I, Class 4, 16 to 18 pound capacity (dry weight), front loading, heavy duty, and commercial grade. The contractor shall provide at each machine the necessary signs or decals to provide the operator with the proper operating instruction. Further, the Contractor shall service each unit within twenty-four hours after a problem is reported by the Contracting Officer's contract monitor. The SIC code is 7629, Electrical and Electronic Repair Shops, N.E.C. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) for this requirement is W072, Lease or rental of EQ/Household/Furnishing This requirement will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation number N00600-03-R-0001 will be available approximately 17 July 2002 and can be downloaded from http://www.neco.navy.mil. This contract will be awarded using the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items procedures located in FAR 13.5. The Government intends to utilize reverse auction procedures for this procurement. This is a competitive, anonymous, on line-auction in which participants will submit a series of quotes/bids that descend in price during a specified period of time. By participating in this reverse auction you grant the government the right to disclose your price, however, your name will be kept anonymous. The Contracting Officer also reserves the right to suspend or cancel the auction at any time. If the Contracting Officer cancels the reverse auction, the solicitation may be processed following normal commercial item procedures. The Government may award on initials.
