Description: This project consists of the removal and disposal of existing concrete walk, pads and entry steps in an approved landfill and the installation of new and replacement of 4" concrete walk, pads, and entry steps at both the North and South units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The project should be bid on a "per square foot" of surface and "per square foot of step and landing" basis. work will include colored, exposed aggregate sections, and light broomed finish natural color sections, that have been identified in the drawings. All work shall contain welded wire reinforcement held to the midlevel of the concrete thickness.Preparation for pouring may require removal of compromised basematerial and replacement with select fill, where necessary, compacted to 95%.The Solicitation will be issued O/A September4,2002 and will close O/A September 16, 2002.requests for copies of the solicitation must be obtained from the Department of Interior websiste at (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) and returned complete to Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, Box 268, Keystone, SD 57751. HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITTIN WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. All responsible sources may submit a proposal wich shall be considered. This procurement is being conducted with the rules of FAR 12 as a "Best Value" procurement and the contractor will be evaluated on Experience, Past Performance and Price.
