- Description
- In accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), the National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the preparation and repainting of two National Register historic wooden buildings - exterior of the Main Barn and exterior and interior of the Horse Barn, and the immediate building perimeter area. Preparation work includes the removal of all loose and flaking lead based paint (LBP) from the buildings, cleaning of surfaces, re-caulking lap siding, the encapsulation of lead based paint. Also included is the removal, disposal and replacement of perimeter soil containing lead residue at the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site, Henderson County, Flat Rock, North Carolina. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 23521; the size standard is $11.5. Estimated price range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. Tentative issue date is September 9, 2002. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. All interested parties desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. RFQ documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF formats. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated to be issued, with a performance period of 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Anticipated award date is September 27, 2002.
