Description
The U. S. Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory, Pittsburgh PA issued this synopsis/solicitation for Electrical Distribution Breaker or EQUAL. Specifications are noted below. To be delivered to Department of Energy's Albany Research Center, Albany, Oregon. The solicitation number is DE-RQ26-02NT20785. This announcement constitutes both notification and solicitation. All in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisition. Offers shall include descriptive literature containing sufficient technical literature to establish a bonafide capacity of meeting the RFQ requirements. Offers must be received by close of business September 23, 2002 SPECIFICATIONS Item #1: Quantity 2: Nema 1 (indoor) 15kv Distribution Breaker; 600 amp rating, 3-phase, 4-wire Grounded Wye system. Breaker is opened and closed by an outside source with control Voltage of 48 volts DC. The footprint for this equipment must be within the following dimensions in order to meet working clearance standards as provided by the National Electrical Code. Width - less than or equal to 36"; Depth - less than or equal to 92"; Height - less than or equal to 95" as per Article 110-34, Table 34a - Minimum depth of clear working space at electrical Equipment - 9001-25000 volts = 5'. Item #2: Quantity 2: Nema 1 (indoor) 15kv Fused Load Interrupter Switch, 600 amp rating. This switch is not opened or closed under load. The footprint for this equipment must be within the following dimensions in order to meet working clearance standards as provided by the National Electrical Code. Width - less than or equal to 30"; Depth - less than or equal to 90"; Height - less than or equal to 95" as per Article 110-34, Table 34a - Minimum depth of clear working space at electrical Equipment - 9001-25000 volts = 5'. Item #3 Quantity 1: Engineering Services for the above (including transformer loading, fault coordination analysis, and fuse time curve selection. Evaluation Criteria Adherence to the specifications. Compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) and National Fire Code requirements. Systems Footprint. Availability/Price. Award will be made to the responsive/responsible vendor providing the best value to the Government.
