- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a sole source purchase order with Svetlana Avramov Azmurovic. This requirement is in support of technial services to complete the construction and verification of the straddling Bridge. To develop algorithms and labview routines to perform automated balances for the Straddling Bridge. Perform a verification of the straddling bridge maathematic using and IVD with relative large, know errors. Calibrate the Low-frequency ratio IVD (50Hz to 10kHz). Investigate design for the high-frequency (up to 21 MHz) IVD. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed prices purchase order. The required period of performances from August 1, 2002 through August 30, 2003. The proposed requirement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority for FAR 13.106-1(b). Dr. Avramov-Zamurovic is the designer and builder of the NIST 30-bit Binary Inductive Voltage divider (BIVD) and the BIVD Bridge. She is the onlyu contractor who is intimately knowledgeable about the design, construction, and operation of the instrumentation required for this impednance metrology project. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed rquirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. A request for quoation (RFQ) package is not available.
