Description

NOTICE OF PRESOLICITATION SITE VISIT ? IFB R4-IDAWY-01-03MEADOW LAKE CAMPGROUND RECONSTRUCTIONSALMON-CHALLIS NATIONAL FORESTPURPOSE: Provide opportunity for site visit while area can be accessed since solicitation is anticipated to be issued between 11/2002 and 2/2003.SCOPE: Meadow Lake Campground Reconstruction Project will include total reconstruction of the existing water system including spring redevelopment, storage tank, valving, solar powered chlorination system, distribution system and hydrants. Construction will consist of a new campground loop road and 20 parking spurs with tent pads, grills and tables. Work will include clearing, excavation, import of embankment and surfacing materials, trenching, bedding and backfill.SITE VISIT: - September 18, 2002 at 1 p.m. (local time). Meet at Meadow LakePROJECT LOCATION: The site is at an elevation of 9300?. Project may be reached from Salmon, Idaho by traveling southeast on highway 28 for 62 miles to the turnoff to the old town of Gilmore (road #60002). Follow #60002 for 6.4 miles to Meadow Lake and the project. CONTRACT TIME: Estimated start date is July 1, 2003, with a 90-calendar day contract period.
