Description
The VA Puget Sound Health Care System, Seattle Division, Seattle, Washington, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Philips Medical Systems, 4174 Lind Avenue SW, Renton, WA to provide complete technical design, structural analysis and coordination for site preparation and installation for a newly acquired Philips MX-8000 CT. The CT replacement requires significant coordination and technical expertise due to the highly specialized work involved. The scope of this contract consists of providing all necessary electrical conduit and writing to provide a fully operational CT and associated equipment, including removal of existing wall, wallboard and floortile, coring floor for routing of cables, preparation in the machine footprint area, caulk and seal of fire rated partition penetrations, furnish and install sliding door with standard ADA hardware, furnish and install VCT flooring to match existing, lay in ceiling tile as needed, furnish and install 30' of leaded gypsum wallboard, patch and paint, install 100' of 1 1/2" copper chilled water lines with shut off valves and hose barbs from the exam room to the mechanical room. All lines are to be insulated. Install 125 micron filter at heat exchanger and furnish and install all necessary conduits, ducts, troughs, switches, breakers, wiring devices and junction boxes per Philips installation drawings. Sources who believe they are capable of providing these services must supply written documentation proving their capabilities to the Contracting Officer by August 30, 2002 at 4:30pm PST. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. This notice is not a request for proposal. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
