- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement to procure Interim Depot Maintenance Support for F/A-18 F414 Engines Government Industry Logistics Support (GILS) program. NAVAIR intends to negotiate a firm fixed price modification with General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) under Contract N00019-99-C-1175. GEAE is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 F414 aircraft engine and, as such, the only firm currently possessing the requisite technical knowledge and expertise, facilities, tooling, and special test equipment necessary to perform these efforts within the required timeframe.
