- NA The U.S. Geological Survey, Upper Midwest environmental Sciences Center (UMESC) intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Gustavus Adolphus College, 800W College Avenue, St. Peters Minnesota, 56082 for research to determine if trophic structure in small lakes of Voyageurs National Park influences the mercury concentrations in northern pike. These services needed are to coordinate the analysis of stable isotope ratios in biological samples collected from the Park and provide written interpretation of the stable isotope data relative to mercury concentrations in northern pike. The proposed contractor offers unique qualifications in the following areas, which are considered essential to the requirement. NOTICE FOR THE STABLE ISOTOPE ANALYSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested vendors may identify their capability to respond. However, all responsible sources may submit a bid within 5 days after the publication of this announcement in-which will be considered by the Government. The anticipated award date is September 10, 2002. NAISC 541990. A determination not to continue with this acquisition is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. No additional synopsis will be published.
