Description
Minerals Management Service (MMS) requires a suite of impact criteria and thresholds for mortality, injury, and disruption of hearing-based behaviors of marine mammals, turtles and fishes. The criteria and thresholds for each potential impact (mortality, injury, etc.) will be developed based on the potential shock waves (peak pressures) and energies (e.g., acoustic impulse and acoustic energy flux) released from using explosives underwater to remove offshore oil and gas structures in the Gulf of Mexico. For a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ), contract the contracting officer. The RFQ is not set-aside for small business.
