- Description
- The Federal Correctional Complex, (FCC Coleman), located at 846 NE 54th Terrace, Coleman, Florida, 33521, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for a non-personal services contract for Medical and Dental Equipment Maintenance Services, with one base year and four option years for equipment at the Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman, Florida. The contractor will provide the Federal Correctional Complex with safety inspections of equipment in the medical and dental clinics, including medical and dental x-ray equipment. Contractor will inspect twice a year, six months apart, all electrical medical and dental equipment in all Health Services areas throughout the complex. Medical and dental x-ray units will be compliance tested to meet FDA standard 21 CFR Subchapter J. In addition, all dental x-ray units will be calibrated to manufacturers'standards. Contractor must be certified as a Biomedical Engineering Service. The contractor agrees to adhere to all regulations prescribed by the institution for the safety, custody, and conduct for inmates. National Crime Information Center clearance will be required for any contractor entering the confines of FCC Coleman. Adherence to the Bureau of Prisons Code of conduct as it pertains to their participation in institution operations and programs will be required. Neither this contract nor any interest herein or any claim arising hereunder may be transferred or assigned by the Contractor to any other individual or agency. Period of contract will be from date of award through September 30, 2003, with four option years. The solicitation will be available to interested parties on or after August 30, 2002 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration, Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Estimated date of receipt of proposals is October 4, 2002.
