Description
The Agency for Public Health and Science (OPHS), Office on Women?s Health (OWH), through the Division of Acquisition Management (DAM), Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a 12 month sole contract using simplified acquisition procedures, to AWHONN, 2000 L Street, Suite 740, Washington, DC 20036. The anticipated date of award is August 31, 2002. The purpose of the contract is to move into Phase II of a pilot project to develop a national program, using a prototype for primary prevention and risk reduction strategies, by advanced practice nurses (APRN) in direct patient care. The Contractor shall submit the following: Print and online monograph with CE on diagnostic testing and pharmacology for APRNs. Updated EBG. A companion print and online CE piece on diagnostic testing and pharmacology for consumers. Production of customized resource kits with EBG, monograph, slide/script presentation and provider and consumer resources expanded to include new diagnostic testing and pharmacology content and the APRN focus. Workshop to educate 30 APRN state project coordinators on applying the EBG in practice and data collection. Design, testing, implementation and evaluation of measurement tools. Data collection and analysis, publication of findings. The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of far 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest by responding to the requirement within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed simplified acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation is available.
