Description

The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, tools, supplies, personnel and supervision to load, transport, and dispose of Vegetable Tannin with a gross weight of approximately 17,547,000 lbs. Material is currently in stack storage, in wooden box pallets approximately eighteen (18) to twenty (20) bags per pallet, each bag weighing approximately 107 lbs. The material is stored at the DNSC Flagstaff Storage Facility, Bellemont, AZ in two warehouses, Warehouse 239, Section C has approximately 11,184,502 lbs. gross lbs. of material in 4,741 pallets, and Warehouse 240, Section C has approximately 6,362,498 gross lbs. of material in 2,697 pallets. The Contractor shall remove material from its current stack storage and load onto Contractor supplied trucks. Contractor will light and heavy weigh trucks to determine gross weight of materials and to ensure that trucks are not overloaded. After loading, all open trucks will be tarped by the Contractor prior to leaving the storage site. A copy of all shipping documents and scale tickets will be provided to the COR on site. All trucks loaded with tannin shall be directed to a landfill selected by the Contractor and approved by the Government for the disposal of the Vegetable Tannin.
