Description
The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), an agency of the U.S. Government, intends to award a sole source contract to MFM Group to provide conference planning, logistics and business advisory services. The conference is scheduled for Nov 4-5, 2002, therefore contract award to a contractor with international conference planning experience is necessary on an urgent basis. At the July 30, 1999, Stability Pact Conference in Sarajevo, the U.S. government charged OPIC with investment initiatives aimed at stabilizing, transforming, and integrating the countries of Southeast Europe into the transatlantic community. Under this mandate, OPIC will host an investment roundtable in Belgrade, Serbia in early November, 2002. The contractor shall provide all the planning and logistics support for the international conference, as well as recruit qualified US companies to attend the conference. The contractor will also identify qualified Serbian companies and provide business advisory services to those companies in order to prepare them for the conference. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This is a sole source requirement and if after evaluation the agency dertermines that there is no other qualified source that can meet the schedule, an ward will be made without further notification. Responses to this notice must be received, in writing, within ten (10) calendar days of publication of this notice. Interested parties must submit sufficient decriptive literature with their response to establish their capability to satisfy the requirement. No telephone, fax, or email responses will be accepted.
