- Description
- The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a sole source Delivery Order against Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-00-G-0288 with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), 6900 Main St. Stratford, Ct. 06601 to provide engineering and design services, analysis, qualification, test support and aircraft support for the MH-60R air vehicle. This effort includes providing non-recurring engineering services related to Production Design of the U.S. Navy MH-60R Multi Mission Helicopter. Selected components will be designed for incorporation into LRIP II aircraft. Emphasis is placed on streamlining production, reducing weight and improving reliability, maintainability and commonality. SAC is the designer, developer and sole manufacture of the airframe for the MH-60R aircraft and is the only known source possessing the knowledge, experience and technical data necessary to perform this effort.
