- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Geographic Information Office, Federal Geographic Data Committee(FGDC), has a requirement for Model Data Distribution Agreements for Improved Distribution of Digital Geographic Information. THE USGS ANTICIPATES AWARDING THE PURCHASE ORDER TO GEODATA ALLIANCE, this company is a purpose-centered, principle-based organization. GeoData was founded to create a truly neutral forum for the resolution of issues central to the successful implementation of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). GeoData has demonstrated the ability to deliver high quality programs by developing a Model Data Distribution Agreement among private and public sectors in order to develop a way to make geospatial data more readily available. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; no formal RFQ will be available. Vendors who can provide this service are invited to provide an affirmative response to this notice. An affirmative response must include, but not limited to offered services, price lists, and any other additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet this requirement. All response must be in writing, no telephone requests will be accepted.
