Description
The 62d Contracting Squadron at McChord AFB is soliciting for a Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC). The MACC is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) for execution of a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction projects affecting real property at Mchord Air Force Base and Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. In accordance with FAR 19.1300 this acquisition is being considered for a HUBZone Set-aside. If your firm is HUBZone set-aside and you intend to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice: (1) SBA certification of HubZone eligibility; (2) Capability statement of your firm; and (3) a positive statement that your firm intends to propose on this acquisition. Based on responses received to this notice, the contracting Officer will make a determination if there is not a reasonable eexpectation of adequate competition from HubzZone certified firms, the acquisition will be conducted using full and open competition. The intent is to award three to six IDIQ contracts as a result of this solicitation per the terms and the conditions of the solicitation. MACC task orders will be competed among those firms receiving an IDIQ contract as a result of this solicitation. Task orders will range from $250,000 to $2,000,000 with an anticipated yearly amount of $15 Million and a total program Not to Exceed amount of $75 Million. Task orders may include the requirement for minimal (35%) design/ build, 100% design/build, and construct only projects. Work to be performed under the MACC will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes, as follows: Sector 23: Construction, Subsector 233 ? Building Development and General Contracting ? size standard $28.5 Million (except dredging and surface cleanup activities); Subsector 234 ? Heavy Construction ? size standard $12 Million; and Subsector 235 ? Special Trade Contractors ? size standard $12 Million. The performance period for this contract will be a one year base period with four one year option periods. The contract minimum guaranteed amount is $2,500 per contract to be made during the base period of the contract. The estimated amount of all contracts awarded under this solicitation will be NTE $75 Million. The RFP will be issued with project PQWY 02-2031A, Repair/Relocate Metals Tech Bldg 745. The solicitation will be issued on or about 23 Sep 02 with a closing date of on or about 1 Nov 02 and may be obtained via the internet by accessing the government-wide Electronic Posting System (EPS) website at http://www.eps.gov. Hard copies will not be available.
