- Description
- The Department of the Navy, FISC Detachment Washington intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.5 with ARAMSCO, INC., of Thorofar, NJ for the acquisition of one (1) refurbished 28' x 8' Mass Casualty Decontamination Trailer. The trailer will be used for proper decontamination of large numbers of personnel involved in a hazardous materials or terrorists threat/incident. The trailer is a self contained unit with heating, cooling, electrical power, water heating units, and recovery tanks for the retention of contaminated waste. The unit can be used to decontaminate both ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients. This notice is not a request for offers. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed acquisition is based on only responsible source and J&A has been prepared and approved for this acquisition. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-MAR-2002). IT ACTUALLY FIRST APPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 13-AUG-2002.
