- Description
- The Nuclear Cities Initiative (NCI) in the Department of Energy?s Office of Nonproliferation and the National Nuclear Security Administration intends to issue a sole-source contract to the Russian Analytical Center for Nonproliferation to study nonproliferation and arms control issues in Sarov, Russia. The proposed effort fulfills the objectives of NCI ?closed? nuclear cities to engage scientists, engineers, and technologists in nonproliferation and conversion activities. The effort involves an intermediate report on the potential threat of actinides, and a final report, recommendations, and draft protocol for restriction of extraction of the actinides in spent nuclear fuel. The Fixed Price contract period of performance will be for 12-months. There will be no formal Request for Proposal issued for this action.
