Description
The US Army TACOM-ARDEC located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey has a requirement for the purchase of a Reactor System with the following characteristics: 1. automated system with batch and continuous operation for scale-up and optimization of synthetic reactions, slurry coating, and crystallization. 2. Glass Reactor (50 cc and 1000 cc interchangeable vessels) with the following features: pressure rating - 3 bar, pressure transducer, temperature controller (0-200 degree centigrade range), explosive proof, regulated mechanical turbine agitator (1000 rpm), PH level monitoring. 3. Reaction calorimetry. 4. CSTR operation ready; liquid level control. 5. Four controlled reactant feeds - 2 must be acid capable (i.e., HNO3, H2S04, HCL), each reactant holding capacity > 15 lb, 40 cc/min feed rate, solid feed (slurry form). 6. In-situ, integrated IR probe for reaction monitoring with diamond tip probe. 7. Autosampler: with > 20 sample collection capability at 30 s intervals with sampling volume adjustable (0-20 cc). 8. Reactor ports: LasenTec particle size analyzer probe, UV spectroscopy probe (0.6 cm diameter), 4 feeds, pH analyzer. The contract type contemplated for this effort is Firm Fixed Price.
