- Description
- Provide armored car service to/from Agent Cashier?s Office located at the VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, Florida and deliver to/from First Union Bank located in St. Petersburg, Florida. Contractor shall also provide armored car service three (3) times per week to/from Veterans Canteen Services located at the VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, Florida and deliver to/from Bank of America located in Tampa, Florida. Contractor will be responsible for transporting a sealed or locked shipment containing currency, coins, checks, securities and other valuables. As all deliveries must be made ?next day?, Contractor must be located in the geographical area of Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida. Contractor must be bonded and insured and provide a notarized copy of coverage prior to contract award. Contract period will be from October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003, with the Government having the option to extend the contract for four (4) additional one-year periods. Hard copy solicitations will not be made available. Contractors may obtain a copy of the solicitation at the following URL: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov. Contractors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. All offers must be returned to the address located in block 15 of Standard Form 1449. Solicitation will be available on or about August 27, 2002 with bids due on or about September 24, 2002. This solicitation is being issued as a Commercial Item Acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code 561613 applies.
