- Description
- UNICOR, FPI intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price Requirements type contract for Kevlar fabric. This requirement will be issued as a Request for Proposal. The period of performance is one (1) year with a one (1) year option, if exercised. Specifications shall be as follows: LINE ITEM 0001 - FAB6422-CLTH, KM-2,KEVLAR-ARAMID,850-DENIER,63W,THE CLOTH WILL BE WATER-REPELLENT TREATED AND MEET ALL REQUIREMENTS OF MIL-C-44050A W/INTERIM SPECIFICATION CHANGE FOR TY-III, CL-2, 6.8-OZ.PER-SQUARE YARD. CLARK SCHWEBEL STYLE 705, 31 X 31 PLAIN-WEAVE. UNIT OF MEASURE: YARD. Delivery is FOB Destination: FCI Yazoo, Mississippi. Delivery Acceptance is 45 days after receipt of delivery order. This requirement is domestic only. The award will be based on the best value to the Government. The evaluation factors are: past performance, ability to conform to specifications, and price. Additional information will be provided in the solicitation which is due to be issued on or about August 20, 2002. All interested parties shall retrieve a complete copy of the solicitation from the Federal Business Opportunities website at: www.eps.gov. No telephone or mailed requests will be honored. All questions/inquiries shall be put in writing and addressed to the Contracting Officer indicated in this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered.
