- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to acquire janitorial services for the National Weather Service Office located in Rapid City, South Dakota. These services will be required for a base period of twelve months effective 10/01/2002 through 09/30/2003, with the option to renew on a yearly basis for an additional two years. The contractor shall be responsible for managing and performing cleaning services at the NWS office 5 days a week. All equipment, materials, supplies and supervision shall be supplied by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Duties include but are not limited to: (1). Daily cleaning of sweeping or vacuuming all carpeted and vinyl floor areas; empty waste baskets throughout the building; thoroughly clean restrooms. (2). Weekly cleaning of damp mopping all uncarpeted floors throughout building; wash glass entrance doors inside and out; wash/clean all office furniture. (3) Monthly cleaning of all interior glass; spot clean walls, doors and window ledges. (4) Quarterly cleaning of the electronic shop and storage room, and equipment and operations area. These areas include specific instructions for cleaning of a resilient floor, access floor, carpeted floors and ceramic tile floors. (5) Semi-annual cleaning of dusting light fixtures, upholster furniture and fabric partitions. (6) Annual cleaning of all carpeted areas using the Dry Extraction Method or the Dry Foam Method. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All interested parties capable of performing these services may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ). All requests must be in writing and sent to the attention of Jackie Shewmaker. Facsimile requests will be accepted at (816) 426-7530. An RFQ will be available on or about August 21, 2002. This acquisition will be issued under the guidelines of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Regulations.
