- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to acquire janitorial services for the National Weather Service Office located in Lincoln, Illinois. These services will be required for a base period of twelve months effective 10/01/2002 through 09/30/2003, with the option to renew on a yearly basis for an additional two years. The contractor shall be responsible for managing and performing cleaning services at the NWS office 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. All equipment, materials, supplies and supervision shall be supplied by the contractor except vacuum cleaner, paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, trash can liners, garbage bags and light bulbs, which will be provided by the National Weather Service. Duties include but are not limited to: (1). Daily cleaning of sweeping or vacuuming all uncarpeted floors including hallways using chemically treated absorbents; vacuuming all carpeted areas; empty waste baskets throughout the building; thoroughly clean restrooms; clean water fountain; spot clean entrance doors and windows; empty and clean outside cigarette receptacle. (2). Weekly cleaning of wet mopping all uncarpeted floors throughout building; wash glass entrance doors inside and out; clean and disinfect break room sink and drinking fountain; clean appliances, cupboards, lockers and chairs; sweep and dustmop all other rooms. (3) Monthly cleaning of all walls, doors and window ledges; vacuum conference room chairs; clean office furniture; remove spots from carpeted floors; spot clean ceramic and vinyl walls. (4) Quarterly cleaning of resilient floor, access floor and ceramic tile floors; dust Venetian blinds; clean all interior windows/glass. (5) Semi-annual cleaning of washing outside of all exterior windows; vacuum/dust all surfaces; clean HVAC supply diffusers and air return grills. (6) Annual cleaning of all carpeted floors. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. All interested parties capable of performing these services may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ). All requests must be in writing and sent to the attention of Jackie Shewmaker. Facsimile requests will be accepted at (816) 426-7530. An RFQ will be available on or about August 21, 2002. This acquisition will be issued under the guidelines of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Regulations.
