Do Not Register On The Plan Holders List) Operation and Maintenance of Domestic Water Quality, Monitoring an d Wastewater Treatment Plant LOCATION: Lake Mendocino JOB DESCRIPTION: SOURCES SOUGHT/NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT WITH ONE SOURCE. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Steve Redding, Ukiah, California. The services required for the Wast ewater Treatment Plant consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to operate, maintain and meet effluent test requirements at the Corps of Engineers wastewater treatment plant located in the Pomo Area of Lake Mendocino, California pursuant t o regulations 40 CFR of the Health and Safety Code. The wastewater plant services the marina, Kyen Campground and Pomo Day Use Area. The services for the Domestic Water Quality and Monitoring requires the contractor to operate, maintain and test five (5) ground water wells and their attached water distribution systems in the areas of Pomo, Kyen and Bushay pursuant to regulations 40 CFR (Part 141) and Domestic Water Quality and Monitoring, Section 116525 of the California Health and Safety Code. Each site consists of a well and control circuitry to the storage tanks, flow meters and a chlorination facility to prevent the introduction of bacterial contamination. The requirement is for the individual/contractor to provide the necessary services, may perform field tests for general analysis; familiar with the equipment located at Pomo, the licensed contractor shall be available 24hr/7days a week with a response time of 15 minutes to the treatment facility, and as minimum, is licensed as Grade I by the state. The contractor must retain current certification by the state where the project is physically located. In response to this notice, all interested persons must submit evidence that they can meet each of the qualifications and work requirements including the 24/7 availability requirement listed above. Include evidence of actual past contracts that include th is type of work with the specified qualifications. Responses that fail to include all needed information cannot be considered. All interested parties may submit statements of qualifications. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. The Government will consider responses received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is within the discretion of the Government. All responses are due in not later than 14 Aug 02/1500 (3:00 pm). NOTE: The operation of the Waste Water plant currently requires a Grade One license from the State of California. The operator of the potable water systems requires a D3 license from the State of California. However, it is the responsibility of the contractor to upgrade the operat or?s license requirements as may be required by the state and federal governments. Small business and 8(a) respondents must discuss their ability to perform 50% of the labor dollars with their own employees. All potential sources must identify their business size. The North American Industry classification system (NAICS) code is 541380 with a business size of $6,000,000.
