- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotation, F32604-02-T0056. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns with a North American Industry Classification of 333120 and a size standard of 750. The item to be procured: Item 0001, One (1)Trencher with Backhoe and Trailer. Description of item 0001: Four-wheel drive, air cooled diesel engine (43 hp gross @ 3000 rpm, 35 hp net @ 2500 rpm as installed) with foot and hand throttles, enclosed and lubricated reduction drive, mechanical trencher drive with outboard bearing support and auger, optional tilt backfill blade, and 64" tilt backfill blade ship kit. Rear Attachment: Chain 50k 2P Cup 5.125" x 84P 42" - 49" depth, 4" Large Tail Boiler Boom. Front Attachment: A center position operator seat, two lever controls for backhoe functions, engine throttle control located on the backhoe's control panel, a bypass valve allowing the operator to reposition the trencher without leaving the backhoe, trencher seat to backhoe, a locking control on the console securing backhoe components in the stowed position for loading, unloading, and transporting. Remote Hydraulic control Kit, 18" Backhoe bucket with bolt-on teeth, Trailer Specifications: Width 78" , Bed Hardwood, 2 axles, Tire size ST225/17R x15, empty weight 2580, GVWR @ 55 - 12,190 , Length 14"x 3" x 22" - 6" x 19" - 6" x 24", Load Cap 9610. Place of delivery shall be 5 CES, 320 Peacekeeper Place, Minot AFB ND 58705 with FOB Destination. Solicitation provision and clauses applicable to this action are attached. Refer to the Quote Sheet/Reps & Certs/Provisions & Clauses attachment. The Evaluation will be based on price and price related factors. Include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (May 2001), with quote.
