- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Durham for the NW Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC). Purpose of proposed contract is to provide genetic analysis of killer whale tissue samples Dr. Rus Hoelzel at University of Durham (UD) is uniquely qualified to conduct this research. He has conducted several manuscripts reporting on killer whale genetics and is internationally recognized for his work on cetacean genetics. Dr. Hoelzel has worked with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) in the past and is familiar with all agency requirements during the conduct of this work. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
