Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, DTSA20-02-Q-00478 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-07. This is a total small business set-aside and the associated NAICS code is 811310 and the small business size is $6M. The LINE ITEM is as follows: 0001- Provide Replacement Services for A/C Units, QTY = 1 JOB. The LAN (Local Area Network) Room air conditioner is the only source of cooling on weekends and after-hours when the building system is shut down. The room has been expanded space-wise to accommodate one additional LAN plus two additional systems engineers. High-heat conditions have occurred which could potentially damage IT equipment due to A/C unit failure. In addition, the vault also contains a standalone air conditioner that has failed consistently. There are a total of two (2) air conditioners which need to be replaced. *****PLEASE CALL THE CONTRACTING OFFICER TO SCHEDULE A SITE VISIT IN ORDER TO VIEW THE ROOM AND A/C UNITS***** The Contractor shall take direction from Mr. Charles Ireton at 202-493-4007 for all work performed for the Government. Work shall be performed at the Transportation Security Administration, GSA Building - 301 7th Street, SW, Washington, DC 20590. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this solicitation. The provision, Evaluation - Commercial Items applies to this solicitation and the specific evaluation criteria included in paragraph (a) of that provision is COST. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with response to this RFQ. The subsequent purchase order for services shall include the clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, shall also be included in the purchase order. THESE PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES CAN BE VIEWED AT THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE: http://www.arnet.gov.far/. This effort shall result in a firm-fixed price (FFP) purchase order for services. Quotes should contain cost breakdown for parts and labor. OFFERS ARE DUE BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS (5:00 P.M) ON AUGUST 14, 2002. CONTRACTORS SHOULD MAIL OR FAX THEIR QUOTES.
