Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) plans to issue a solicitation for the purchase of Drawsheet: elastomeric-coated fabric, BEP stock # 2L001707 in accordance with BEP Specification No. B:ECF-1, dated November 19, 2001. An unrestricted full and open competitive solicitation is planned. The contract type will be Fixed-Price, ID/IQ type. Delivery terms are F.O.B Destination to the BEP Loading Dock at "D" Street, Between 13th and 14th Sts., S.W. Washington, D.C. 20228 and BEP 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76131. The period of performance will be for one (1) twelve (12) month base period and four (4) 12-month option years. Estimated quantities for deliveries to the Washington D.C. facility are: 4,500 sheets for the base year, 5,310 sheets for the first option year, 7,009 sheets for the second option year, 7,009 sheets for the third option year, and 7,009 sheets for the fourth option year. Estimated quantities for deliveries to the Fort Worth facility are as follows: 6,000 sheets for the base year, 6,000 sheets for the first option year, 7,440 sheets for the second option year, 9,300 sheets for the third option year, and 9,300 sheets for the fourth option year. This procurement will be negotiated and awarded according to the procedures set forth in FAR parts 12 and 15. Offerors will be requested to submit a material sample consisting of 200 sheets to the Washington, D.C. facility, and 200 sheets to the Fort Worth facility with their offer for test and evaluation. The selection decision will be based on overall best value to the BEP, price and non-price factors considered. The solicitation will be available on or about January 15, 2002. BEP is posting this announcement, as well as the final solicitation on GSA's Federal Business Opportunities webpage (formally EPS) at http://www.eps.gov.
