Description
The U.S. Postal Service intends to award a Contract for Major Renovations/Postalization of an approximately 325,000-sq. ft. Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) 200 Industrial Ave, Teterboro, NJ. Proposals will be accepted ?ONLY? from contractors that were pre-qualified under solicitation 512582-02-A-0001. The contract will be accomplished in two phases: Phase I development of 30% concept drawings. Based on the concept design and successfully negotiating a Guaranteed Maximum Price within the CCL phase II will be awarded. Phase II will be completing the design and the construction of the facility. The scope of work includes design and construction renovation/postalization of an existing facility consisting of approximately, 325,000sq. ft. on 15.3 acres in Teterboro, NJ. Total period of design and construction for this project during phase I is 45 calendar days and for phase II is 365 calendar days. The estimated cost range for this project is between $28,000,000 and $31,000,000. Contract award is contingent upon the Postal Service Board of Governors approval of funding. A pre-proposal conference will be held at the P&DC project facility on March 21st 2002 beginning at 1:00 pm. The ?successful? offeror must submit their sub-contracting plan and it must be approved prior to award.
