Description: NA This is a notice of the Government?s intent to award a sole source purchase order to Proquest Information and Learning for a subscription to the ABI Global Package internet software service to provide a research source to technological information and busi ness periodicals to include abstracts and indexing to over 1,000 publications from 1987 forward, including 350 English-language titles from outside the United States for the U.S. Army Logistics Management College at Fort Lee, Va., using Simplified Acquisit ion Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. Contractor will provide the software to use this internet service which is a proprietary software developed and maintained solely by Proquest Information and Learning. The anticipated award date is 15 August 2002. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. No solicitation s or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely in the discretion of the Governmen t. All responses must be received by COB, 14 August 2002. If no responses are received by this date, a sole source purchase order with Proquest Information and Learning will be pursued.
