- Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209,VISN 7, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Pyxis Corporation, 3750 Torrey View Ct., San Diego, CA 92130 for 2 PMI's and all intervening Service for the Pyxis Pharmacy Dispensing System for the period October 1, 2002, through September 30, 2003, with four (4) one (1) year options. FAR 6.302 authorizes sole source procedure. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811310 with a size standard of $6.0 million. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 23, 2002. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer or by fax to 706-481-6741. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Requests for hardcopy solicitation must be in writing to the Contracting Officer. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Any and all questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing and faxed to the Contracting Officer. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the URL addresses. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
