- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Moss Landing Marine Laboratories/Habitat Center for National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, Office of Response and Restoration. Purpose of the contract is for development and implementation of decision making and habitat mapping tools to facilitate study of deep water marine benthic habitats. The primary activity will be to develop and implement a habitat characterization scheme to easily distinguish marine benthic habitats and to facilitate ease of use and query capability within GIS (e.g., ArcView, TNT Mips, ArcGIS) and database programs. The habitat characterization scheme will be used in the interpretation of multi beam swath and side scan sonar mapping data in San Francisco Bay for the purpose of determining habitat types for natural resource management. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.00.
