- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, has a project entitled Road Maintenance 2002 on the Olympic National Forest. This is a solicitation to replace R6-OLY-2-28-O, which was cancelled. Locations for work include various roads on the south end of the Hood Canal Ranger District. The majority of project work will take place during late spring, summer and early fall and will consist of various maintenance activities. Work during late spring mainly involves the opening up of roads, which may include spot blading and removing trees, debris, slides & slough from drainage structures and/or traveled way to provide access to the forest. Regular maintenance during the summer and early fall consists of blading roads, cleaning and/or repairing drainage structures, and removing logs, trees &debris. Additional fall maintenance may include the winterization of roads by touching up the traveled way, existing cross ditches & drainage structures, and installing additional cross ditches. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposals No. R6-OLY-2-53-O and will be available through this website on or about August 8, 2002 with proposals to be received no later than the close of business (4:00 p.m. (PST)), August 28, 2002. Telephonic or written requests for this solicitation will not be honored. Award of this contract is anticipated to be made on or about September 2, 2002 and will run through September 30, 2004. This solicitation is issued as a small business set-aside and FAR part 12, Commercial Items procedures will be utilized. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 11531 with a corresponding size standard of $5.0 million. Requirements of the Service Contract Act will apply to any resulting contract. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered.
