Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemental with additional information included in this notice, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement is the solicitation, and quotations are requested. The solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The RFQ number is DTCG80-02-Q-8PH047. Vendors shall reference this number on their quote. The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08. This procurement will be awarded on a non-restrictive basis and awarded as a specific make and model in accordance with FAR 6.301 ( c ). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) Code is 234990 and the size standard is $27 million. The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement for the following equipment: Clin 0001: (2 each) Delmag Diesel Hammer, Model #D6-32 complete with tripping device, toolbox, tools, and accessories; Clin 0002: (2 each) Helmet assemblies, direct drive for up to 18? diameter piles; Clin 0003: (1 each) Spud Beam Leads, 50 FT each; Clin 0004: (2 each) Manual Pile Gates for 18? DIA Piles. Delivery will be FOB destination: One each of Clin 0001, 0002, 0003, and 0004 will be shipped to: Officer in Charge, CGC Quachita, Foot of Old Harrison Road, Chattanooga, TN, 37416-2825, Attn: Senior Chief Evans (423) 622-2214 and One each of Clin 0001, 0002, and 0004 will be shipped to: Officer in Charge, CGC Wyaconda, 60 East First Street, Dubuque, IA 52001-7652, Attn: Senior Chief Melville (563) 582-0211 by 31 October 2002. Please provide 48 hours notice prior to delivery. Acceptance of the units will be at destination. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of the commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order. The Government anticipates awarding one purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis /solicitation to the responsible offerror whose offer conforming to this synopsis/solicitation will offer the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. Anticipated Award date is 15 August, 2002. All interested, responsible firms should submit their quotation no later than 12 August 2002, to U.S. Coast Guard, MLCLANT (vpl-4), 300 E. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of a line of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
