- NAICS Code: 541519 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Open Text Corporation, 5080 Tuttle Crossing Blvd, Dublin OH 43016 for maintenance services. This service includes the following: BASIS Maintenance for AIX, which includes the following software: Database Manager, Thesaurus Manager, Fundamental Query Language, Express, Basic Command Languages, Document Handler Interface, and WebServer Gateway. EPA believes that Open Text is the only source capable of providing the required software. The circumstance permitting Other than Full and Open Competition Justification is FAR 6.301-2, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The period of performance is expected to be from October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003. All interested parties who believe they can provide the required services should fully explain their capabilities and qualifications in writing within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any source(s) exist and, therefore, no RFQ is available. Consequently, any response(s) failing to provide the aforementioned data but instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will not be honored.
