- NAICS Code: 334516 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to with Cepheid, 904 Caribbean Drive , Sunnyvale, Ca 94089 for the acquisition of a Cepheid Smart Cycler. (SC1000N2-1). The EPA has identified Cepheid the only vendor capable of satisfy the requirement. The data generated by this instrument will be analyzed by EPA using the computer software developed for the Cepheid Smart Cycler. The data from the field must therefore be in a form that can be analyzed in the laboratory by this software. Cepheid has exclusive copyrights, patents, and/or trade secret ownership, as well as sole legal possession of original computer "key" that created the software. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to provided the aforementioned data and instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. Interested parties who can meet the above requirements may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability no later than 15 days after the date of this publication.
