- Description
- The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Purchase Order for lodging in support of the SUPSHIP Crew Support Office Newport News, VA. This requirement is being procured using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5 "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items" (CLINGER-COHEN). This acquisition is for 100% Full & Open Competition. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 721110. Lodging facilities shall be located within a Twenty (20) Mile Radius of the Newport News Shipyard, and is restricted to the Peninsula Region of Tidewater, Virginia. The period of performance is from 1 September 2002 through 31 January 2003. The required room quantities are as follows; Sept. 2002: 52 Double Occupancy Rooms for 30 Days, Oct. 2002: 52 Double Occupancy Rooms for 31 Days, Nov. 2002: 52 Double Occupancy Rooms for 30 Days, Dec. 2002: 52 Occupancy Double Rooms for 31 Days, Jan. 2003: 52 Double Occupancy Rooms for 31 Days. While quotations for Double Occupancy Rooms are preferred, in the event that Double Occupancy Rooms are unavailable, quotations for single rooms may be provided and evaluated. The evaluation of Past Performance is approximately equal to Price. All responsible sources must submit pricing and past performance data by 4:00 p.m. on the date the offer is due. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the Solicitation and subsequent Amendments to the Solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at the the FedBizOpps Website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, or at the NECO website at http://www.neco.navy.mil. This office will no longer issue hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. The RFQ will be issued approximately 13 August 2002.
