- Description
- The FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center has a requirement for Upgrading its existing Security and Access Control System. The expected duration of this project is two weeks after date of contract award. The FAA has determined that only Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) is the single source that can perform these upgrades because of the following reasons: (1) The current database employed by the Pegasys 1000 is proprietary. (2) JCI is familiar with the Pegasys application and the JCI hardware as it is implemented at the Technical Center, and (3) The process of evaluating vendors who may claim the ability of providing this service will jeopardize the current construction and security initiatives' timely completions.
