- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Western Regional Office in Dublin, CA. intends to issue solicitation RFQ60020-0019 for the provision of Psychiatric services at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles,California. The Psychiatric services working under the contract must have the appropriate educational qualifications, experience, and licensure commensurate with the job responsibilities. The duties of the Psychiatrist will include consultation, evaluation, emergency care, including but not limited to, crisis intervention for inmates who are suicidal, homicidal, or unable to function in the open population without creating dangerous situations due to their mental illness. It is estimated the contract will include 2 one hour sessions per week for a total of 104 sessions per contract year. The contract period shall consist of one 12-month base year and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about August 12, 2002 and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning the acquisitions, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed through the website. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 4, 2002. All responsible small businesses may submit a quote which will be considered.
