- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, ALOSH, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV has a requirement for an Electric Cell-Substrate Impedience Sensing System including incubator, laptop PC, elevated field module, injet printer and 15 eight-electrode arrays to be used to measure cell proliferation without the use of radioactive isotopes. Market research has not identified any sources other than Applied BioPhysics, Inc., Troy, NY. Accordingly, NIOSH intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Applied BioPhysics under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Organizations that believe they can provide the required instrument are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice to the Contracting Officer within 10 days demonstrating that they have the expertise and capabilities necessary to meet the stated requirements. Forward evidence of capabilities and supporting information to: Brenda L. Goodwin, MS-1019, Reference: #HELD02P0076, DHHS, PHS, CDC, NIOSH, ALOSH, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV 26505. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will solely be used for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days, award will be made to Applied BioPhysics, Inc. All information received will be considered by the Government.
