- Description
- The Department of Interior, Minerals Management Service has a requirement for the installation of a single mooring at latitude 25EN and longitude 90EW in the Gulf of Mexico to conduct current measurements over the full water column for one (1) year. The Government intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with the Centro de Investigaciones Cientifican y Educacion Superior de Ensenada (CICESE), Ensenada, Mexico, in accordance with FAR 6.301-2. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to include the rationale for obtaining the necessary permits from Mexico. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. See Notes 22 and 26. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received by September 16, 2002 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Questions must be submitted in writing to Jane M.
