Description
The General Services Administration, Federal Technology Service, Region 8, Denver and its Client, Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Department of the Navy, Kekaha, HI intend to procure on a Sole Source basis from Radtec Engineering, 2150 W. 6th Ave, Ste. D, Broomfield, CO 80020, 303-438-8745, the following services: provide 2 (ea.) FPQ-8000 C-Band, 1MW, Solid-State Modulator/Transmitter units with spares. Included will be a remote Control Panel and Interconnecting cable and Level 2 Documentation Package for each unit. The Documentation Package will include schematics of all Circuit Card Assemblies, Module Assemblies, Control panels, Chassis Wiring Diagrams, and Parts Breakdown Listing. Delivery time must be 150 days ARO. CONTRACTOR MUST SUPPLY AT LEAST 3 PREVIOUS PROJECTS DETAILING THE MANUFACTURING OF THE TRANSMITTER. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT ISSUED as a result of this CBD. Only one order will be issued for this requirement, no partials. PURPOSE: This project is intended to supply additional FPQ-8000 units to maintain commonality with 5 previously installed units in other radar systems at the Pacific Missile Range Facility. IMPACT: The additional transmitters will work in conjunction with the current (5) transmitters to provide a quality radar system for the client. JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION: Radtec Engineering designed and built the original (5) transmitters currently installed at PMRF. It is essential to have a commonality among the transmitters, thus any test to decipher from this plan would prove to be a hinder to the success of this project. Concerns having the ability to furnish the above services/supplies are requested to give written notification (including the telephone number for a point of contact) to the acquiring office listed in this notice within 15-calendar days from the date of this synopsis. This notification should clearly show their ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy and reliability of the requirement. This is not a formal solicitation. However, concerns that respond should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities and may request a copy of the solicitation when it becomes available.
