Description
NA The work in the base bid will consist of planting approximately 1,734 hardwood trees, construction of an irrigation system including 2 irrigation pump stations; excavation of approximately 486,000 CY of earth for construction of 2 wetlands and approximatel y 40,700 SY of buffalo grass sod and 41 acres of buffalo grass seeding; 28,000 LF of asphalt access trails along the river banks; Bid options will consist of public recreation seating areas and asphalt access points and a trailhead recreation area with pav ing, benches, drinking fountains, waste receptacles, bike racks, and approximately 440 plantings; approximately 609 additional trees, additional native grasses and irrigation; an additional 266,355 CY of earth excavation and 227 trees and additional access trails and boardwalk for a wetland; and 1,506,000 SF of native grasses throughout the area. The work area will be on both banks of the North Canadian River in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from about 2,200 feet east of Western Avenue, opposite the Western Aven ue Dam, west to approximately May Avenue, the May Avenue Dam, a total of about 4 miles in length (2 miles each side of the river. Estimated cost range of this project is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on/or about Au gust 26, 2002, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, specifications, and planholders lists will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
