Description
Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, supplies, equipment, and supervision to perform the work required by Project No. 583-02-1010, Linear Accelerator at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN, in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Contractor will prepare linear accelerator room and coordinate installation of new more powerfull equipment; prepare second linear accelerator room and coordinate installation of a new table; convert a storage room to a physics lab; convert the present physics lab to a CT simulator room; generally refurbish and increase security in the area. Work will be accomplished in three phases, the third to begin no less than 180 days after the new linear accelerator has been placed in service. Work includes, but is not limited to structural, mechanical, electrical and lead shielding. NAICS code 233320 applies. The cost range is estimated at $500,000 - $1,000,000. Completion time is 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This solicitation is pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Bid documents will be available O/A 8/16/02. A mpm-refundable fee of $50.00 in the form of a money order, cashiers or certified check applies to each set requested. Personal or company checks cannot be accepted and will be returned. Checks made payable to VA Medical Center and shall list the solicitation number. A maximum of two sets will be issued to firms intending to bid as prime contractors and one set to firms intending to bid as subcontractors. Award is subject to availability of funds. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by this agency. Bids will be due Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at 02:00 PM Indiana Time(Eastern Standard).
