- Request for quote issued for the following fishing equipment built by Dungeness Gear Works, Inc.--no other brand will be accepted.1.) QTY 50 Each, Research Fishing Pot System built according to specification and design for research fishing pots that optimized to maximize for collecting data as opposed to privately owned commercial fishing pots, which are optimized to maximize catches regardless the consequences for the statistical properties of the catch data 2.) QTY 200 Each, Bait Bags, mesh bag equipped with all necessary features for holding bait in a fishing pot, 12 inches by 18 inches in dimension, constructed by heavy duty fine mesh material, equipped with #120 draw string with 1.3125 inch stainless steel snap on one end. 3.) QTY 100 Each, Bait Jars, perforated plastic container equipped with all necessary features for holding bait in a fishing pot. Each jar shall be 3 quart fliptop with handle. A 26 inch gangion shall be fixed to the bait jar washer under lid, with a 1.3125 inch stainless steel snap on the end opposite the bait jar. Dungeness Gears, Inc. brand is required since the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC) has standardized on Dungeness Gear Works fishing pots and equipment aS part of an on-going gear design effort and no other commercial sources known for these items. This is the entire solicitation, no other solicitation will be issued. Please fax quote to Maria Mendoza (206) 527-7513 by close of business 08/15/02. Qualified vendors must provide in writing Company name, complete mailing address, point of contact, phone and fax numbers, and complete pricing information for each item. This is a small purchase action with an estimated value of less than $100,000.00.
