- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is appropriate to be a small business set-aside. The request for quote number is LAVH-01. This solicitation and all incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The NAICS Code is 42112. 1. Tire Boot, (10) each must be used for standard U.S. and Foreign subcompact to full size automobiles and light trucks with wheel and tire sizes 2-17.5" wide (5.08-44.45cm) X 12-24" diameter (30.48-60.96 cm), available with 12" (30.48cm) and 14"(35.56cm) domed wheel covers. Adjustable dome wheel cover for 28. Lbs. Boot must be of durable construction of structural steel tubing. Dome cover must be trimmed in vinyl to eliminate damage to the wheel. 2. Keys (10) each to install and remove the boot. Items to be delivered between 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. local time on or before 08-21-02. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Unicor Federal Camp Warehouse, 8500 Doniphan Drive Anthony, TX 79821. The billing address is P.O. Box 9000 Anthony, NM 88021. FAR 52.212-1 (Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items) and FAR 52.212.4 (Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items) apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212 (Evaluation - Commercial Items). Quotes will be reviewed and rated on the following evaluation factors and their relative importance, stated in the solicitation: Price 50%, Quality, Delivery, Warranty when combined equal to price. Award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible quoter whose price is considered fair and reasonable. FAR 52.212-5 (Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial-Items) applies, which includes 52.203-6, Restrictions on Subcontractor Sales to the Government, with Alternate I. 52.204-6 Contractor Identification Number Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) applies. FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration applies. Offerors shall submit signed and dated quotes to Unicor, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. If sent by Federal Express, UPS, or hand delivered, address to Unicor Federal Prison Camp Warehouse, 8500 Doniphan Drive, Anthony, TX 79821. Quotes and certifications may also be sent by facsimile at 915/886-3212 to the attention of Patricia Miranda, Contracting Officer. Quotes are due by 08-06-2002 at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Quotes must indicate solicitation No., description of the item(s) being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitations, terms of any expressed warranty, price and any discount terms, remit to address. Offeror must include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, (Offer Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items) with their offeror, and acknowledgement of all amendments, if any. All Offerors that fail to furnish required representations and certifications or information or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. Any amendments hereby issued to this solicitation shall be synopsized in the same manner as this solicitation and must be acknowledged by each Offeror. Offeror must hold prices firm for 60 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers. Quotes received after the due date may not be considered.
