B --HISTORIC RESOURCE STUDY, MINUTEMAN MISSILE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE, SOUTH DAKOTA. The National Park Service seeks professional historical research to accomplish a historic resource study (HRS) for Minuteman Missile National Historic Site, with park headquarters temporarily co-housed at Badlands National Park, P.O. Box 6, Interior, South Dakota 57750. The HRS will provide an historical overview of the park and immediate geographical region and identifies and evaluates cultural resources within historic contexts. It will include the collection, evaluation, synthesis, and presentation of data and research findings concerning the area?s historic resources (including but not limited to structures, sites, objects, districts, cultural landscapes, complexes, and historic functions). Included within the HRS will be the preparation of cultural resources base maps, oral history interviews, and a National Register of Historic Places nomination. The project will be in two phases, with phase 2 contingent on satisfactory completion of phase 1 and the availability of funding. Selection will be based on criteria published in the solicitation. Solicitation will be issued on or about August 15, 2002 and close on or about September 14, 2002. Submissions shall be in accordance with the Request for Proposal. Requests for copies of the solicitation must be obtained from the solicitatin will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiorwebsite (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) and returned complete to Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, Box 268, Keystone, SD 57751.HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT AVAILABLE. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The time period for the work performed is 12 months. The price range of this project (the total of phases 1 and 2) is between $25,,000 and $100,000.NAICS:541990, P&S:B521
