- Description
- The Air Force Medical Logistics Office/Veterans Affairs Special Services (AFMLO/VASS) Contracting Activity has a requirement for a major equipment upgrade including replacement of the existing fire suppression system inside two multi-place hyperbaric chambers, replacement of existing central control console and control software with state-of-the-art technology, upgrade one compressor system, and streamlining service lines/valves to the chamber located at the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine Force Enhancement Hyperbarics Facility located at Brooks AFB, Texas. All applicable systems and installations must meet or exceed the most current National Fire Prevention Association Chapter 19 for Hyperbaric Facilities, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME) guidelines on Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy (PVHO); the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for oxygen administration, and any other national life safety standards in force at the time of final inspection. The AFMLO/VASS intends to award a fixed-priced contract, based on best value to the offeror whose proposal is found to be responsive, technically acceptable and in the best interest of the Government. The NAICS code is 541330 and the small business size standard is $4M. This requirement is unrestricted. A subcontracting plan is required when applicable. The contract type shall be a construction contract. Offerors must have experience working with hyperbaric chambers.
