- Description
- The Broadcasting Board of Governors/International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB), in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, intend to negotiate on a sole source basis with Tandberg Television Limited, 12633 Challenger Parkway, Suite #250, Orlando, Florida 32826, for two (2) turn key Digital TV Encoder Systems capable of encoding five (5) program channels simultaneously for uplink onto a Satellite for the Greek ERT Satellite Earthstation Project. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, first article testing, design, system integration, installation of equipment, as built drawings, personnel training and travel. The Contractor shall also provide technical support necessary to complete the installation and assist the Government in the system being fully operational. The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition that is applicable to this procurement is, as stated in FAR Subpart 6.302-4, 10 USC 2304(c)(4) or 41 USC (253) (4) which permits other than full and open competition when precluded by the terms of an international agreement or a treaty between the United States and a Foreign Government or International Organization. Delivery: 90 days after award of contract; Destination: Greece Transmitting Station, Athens, Greece. This is not a formal solicitation. Interested companies or individuals that respond shall furnish detailed documentation of its capabilities to provide the aforementioned by COB August 15, 2002. Any questions regarding this Notice shall be in writing and submitted to the attention of the Contracting Officer. All written expressions of interest shall specifically reference this CBD Notice by its title and date of publication. See Numbered Note 22.
